Abstract:

How does Wilson describe the changes that have gone on in inner city neighbourhoods from the 1960's to the present. What impact have these changes had on the people who live in the inner city. What is the relationship between race and class as variables as they have gone into forming an urban underclass? How have these forces influenced the way employers and residents think about race?
