1. In Euthyphro, Socrates explores the concepts and aims of piety and religion;
2. in Crito, he demonstrates his respect for the law in his refusal to flee his death sentence;
3. in Phaedo embraces death and discusses the immortality of the soul.
4. In Laches Socrates, Laches and Nicias is trying to figure out what courage is.
5. In Gorgias the subject of rhetoric is covered, and the real subject is the question of whether it is better to be wronged, or to do wrong yourself.
