Finally, closed source doesn't support basic moral duties. By open sourcing
our software, false claims, harm, and other such moral don't are not
supported. In fact, open source software allows for us to follow a duty
like ``ought not lie'' because then we don't present false claims as to what
a software product does in order for someone to buy it.
Open source software does no harm by providing an open method of all eyes
to seek, identify, and fix security holes, and bugs. In fact, because of all
of these things, it is in everyone's best interest that software be open
sourced. Basically, everyone benefits from it.
