3) Phrack Case was a case where the government treated the issue different because it was software versus regular printed text. Steve Jacson Games case again, was another case that was treated differently just because it involved computer hardware. Another case where the outcome was treated differently because it was computer related versus print material was regarding Schneier's and Karn's computer disks versus their printed materials and the NSA.
5) An anonymous remailer receives an Email strips the return headers and from headers... then assigns the e-mail an internal number and remails it to the intended user with the new header... This internal number is stored and linked against an internal list so that a reply may be sent via the anonymous e-mailer. In another scenario the e-mail message is completely stripped of its return mailing information.
8)I would not subscribe to such a service that `filters' e-mails based on censorship of information. This is not a violation of freedom of speech if the following two conditions are met. 1) there is suitable competition for this 'online' agency to provide uncensored e-mail. 2) it is clearly stated in the TOS (terms of service, or contract) of this online agency that such policies are practiced.
26) of the people surveyed one said no to the last part (anyone after the student deletes it) Apparently, non computer science majors are unfamiliar with UNIX systems. When a message is deleted... it's deleted. Every one else said it was possible, and that it was so under these general conditions: a) poor administration b) system difficulty, fine tuning c) with proper authorization d) never still.
